NFS Hot Pursuit 2 Crashes

Post by bonestripper »

Hello All,
I just bought this game last night. I start the game up, go through and pick the Lotus and the track then race. It brings up the screen showing the Lotus on the track then the game and my computer both crash. What gives?
I'm running Windows XP, 758megs of ram, Using a Logitech Wingman Force Feedback wheel I also bought last night.
I also have NFS High Stacks installed. No problems so far.
Can anyone give me advice?
Thanks

Drivers- nv4_mini.sys
Direct X9
Is there any other drivers I need to be aware of.
I diable the Virus Scan and Firewall when I try to run the game.

if you goto http://www.nvidia.com and in the search box........type 41.09 then hit search. download the appropriate file for you're operating system, then install the drivers. the reason for the 41.09 version is because there the latest version i know of at the moment that are entirely bug free.

Im in the same boat. Game crashes when I start a race. (in menus it works). I've got a Geforce FX5200, latest drivers, DirectX 9.0c Windows XP + SP 2.

The game runs in my ancient PC, Geforce MX400, DirectX 9.0b, Windows 2000 :?
