CF wheels

Post by ^Sparco^ »

The Carbon Fibre fever has no limits...

Check this: Seems to be a new performace wheel (18inches = Only 3.5kg) but something about the price makes it fall into the bling category.

I wonder how strong CF wheels can be...

$1.500 per rims x 4 = $6.000

That really is for bling bling-people :D

anyway, here are other CF rims. These look much much better.

welll i wouldn't be so sure about that...they can take 2 times more pressure than steel rims and weight only 1/5 of what the steel ones do...
btw both of the rims master m posted look grate 8)

Although they can take up 2 times more pressure, CF isn't able to bend, while steel is.

which i why i guess the 2nd set of rims posted by master m has a metal rim to take most of the damage and brunt. at least it designers had the sense that customers aint gonna buy 4k+ rims and 2 only have them shatter the next day.

wtf r u ppl talking bout? it's CARBON FIBER not cardboard fiber, it's much much stirnger than regular alloy wheels therefore believe me, it won't crack, otherwise they wouldn't make them as "high performance"

:')

Crash into a car with your CF wheels and you'll find them back later.

Not in one piece.

See, although it's twice as strong, it is not able to bend. So actually, it's not ''really'' twice as strong.
