I've got a engine/ecu/nos and I think that is the best for dragging.
Depends what you'll race online really.

i use eng/ecu/tires with my rx-7 and there are few that can match me, its nice to use handling upgrades coz the mazda jus loves it and sticks to the road(not as good as 206) and with the engine and ecu upgrade gives u nice acceleration and top speed which combined is very handy

i agree with engine/ecu/nos personally, works well for the rx7, supra and skyline anyway

I think it's down to what type of game u like to play. IF it's drag then Engine, Turbo NOS, will give you the best performance. (IMHO)

If its circuit then other combo's maybe better...

a lot of circuit races are 10 laps long which test your car performance w/o nos so if you are goin for circuit racing i wud recommend eng/ecu - for good speed and tires - since it gives you better control and not makin a single mistake can win you the race ;)

So far then:

Drag = Engine - Turbo - Nos
Circuit = Engine - ECU - Tires
Drift = Anyone???

Well tires probably not as you don't want to have too much grip but I'd say stiff suspension will help..

definitely suspension, and ecu to boost acceleration so that u get out of corners quicker, getting u more points, use rwd cars 2, best ones are: rx7, eclipse, supra, s2000

ecu, suspension and...

Post by hondaforever »

ECU, suspension and weight saving, iwould think as to slide you dont want as much weight, andif ur car's too heavy itll be hard to stop the slide i.e. avoid hitting the wall in emergencys.... thats all i got to say :)

its a lot to do with how much you are in control with the car :P (not in sense of sticking to the goddamn road on drift :D) but managing chain drifts avoiding wall impacts etc...

Well it does, try the Impreza, and then the Civic. Some cars have way more grip then others. That's why YOU HAVE to use the e-brake on some cars and you dont on others. The impreza for example will start breaking out just by lifting the gas...

yea, id agree with wieght saving as the third option, it makes a surprising difference in how much easier it is to stop or change direction of the slide

I have turbo, ecu, weight reducion(the best I think)

As far as drag racing - I know people like RX 7 - BUT I am very hard to beat in S2000 when it's fully maxed out.

The thing is that the gear change on S2000 is the best of all - I ALWAYS get into the 2nd in perfect shift and so on, speeds are usually around 340km/h tops. So I beat a bunch of people online racing Rx-7's.

But as an all round best car i think it's MX 5 MIATA - that thing is so nimble and quick, that it's helped me always win when i was getting stuck with other cars. I underestimated it from day one, but the last 10 missions on hard I could only finish with MIATA.

Just my 2 cents.

I am giving the RX 7 most attention now, since I got the highest speed out of it - 376kmph. So I take your point WRX killer.

And as far as the Unique upgrade - the TJ mode thing that's avail. for download lets you play with those unique mods. I am against cheats and despise them in internet games, but this is different. I beat the game, and could have made a wrong decision when getting the Unique performance upgrade. Now I can simpy play around with it and know what's the ultimate combination. Good utility.

def. ecu nos and engine..... i think thats the best for drags but then again for circuits idk. i love the rx7 tho!!! even tho it says it sucks for circuit cause it handling stinks it doesnt its way too good i can do turns even sharper than a skyline. for drags on the other hand, i love my supra!! ive beat the game like three times and i have a car for each kind of race!
