Post by Racin_Penguin »

Which controller do you perfer? Like, which controller just "fits" you the best? Which do you feel most comfortable playing?
Mine would definetely have to be the ps2 controller because I've grown up with it and any other console controller just feels...iffy.(ESPECIALLY xbox)

Then I'm just the oppostie of you.

I love my xbox-controller and hate the PS2-controller.
The xbox-controller just FEELS better when you hold it. :P
It might be bit heavier, but I don't mind. :)

Depends on the game, really....
Racing and driving games is best to play with a FF set of wheel and pedals....CS-source and COD is best with the old mouse and kb setting! I've tried to play MOHAA on PS2 sometimes....damn hard to adjust to those controls!

I like mostly all games on ps2 controller, I guess its just what you've grown most accustomed to over the years. Even if Halo came out fer ps2, they would juse make R1 shoot and L1 fer grenades, that would play alot like the xbox version IMO.
I think its safe to say that most gamers perfer shooting games to be on the xbox and I don't blame them, I just am not that good with the controller. Halo's probly the game I'm best at.
The only racing game I've played on xbox is rallysport challange 2 and I just HATED the triggers to be gas and brake.

That is (imo) why the controller is built like that... they were expecting more gamers to enjoy how the controller is for RPG's, some action games, and of course preparing it for Halo (the only reason I bought an Xbox)

As have most of us (myself included)
It feels alot more comfortable and also the button layout kicks the Xbox controller

also lets not forget, that completely useless jewel of the Xbox's controller... completely useless (unless you are thick enough not to know what you are playing)

i would disagree with you Mr G, the xbox controller is more ergonomically designed, so it sits better in your hands, but the PS controller's layout is much more easier to use.
my verdict?..depends on wat game i'm playing i guess...

That boomerang was just a rough design of the controller, I read in PSM that it wasn't the final version...

My fav control is the XBOX one... i think it is by far the best one out... esphially for racing games.
The PS2 is the 2nd best and if you are able to use the analogue stick to accelerate in the racing games it is just as good as the XBOX control
I really dont like the gamecube control at all... it just feels cheap to me

Overall i think the xbox has the best control.

By looks maybe... all depends though (I am biased towards PS so yeah)
To me, I don't care what the controller "looks" like, just how well I am able to use it

I want to be re-assured that when I pick the controller up each and every time I will be able to kick some AI butt :D

for NFS:MW?

Post by Moose1309 »

So anyhow, to resurrect an old thread: what about NFS:MW? What's the best controller there? I have a Logitech Driving Force PRo, which will work for the PC or PS2 version, but it's almost too much trouble to plug in every time I want to play the blasted game.

Assuming I get the PC version of MW, shoudl I get a dual-analog PC gamepad or stick with the DFP? Or stick with my not-analog PC pad? :P

Don't go saying the xbox controller is like holding a brick... you ever held a brick? The xbox controller doesn't even reach the high level of quality of a brick!!
