OK Now this is personal

I already argued in several threads about people using the painting garage to improve the overall look of the car, and now here we are, the dude cheats and wins and my car happens to end up 3rd.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have my other car in the semifinals and I'm proud of having ended up 3rd out of 57 cars today. But this is unfair and I'm pissed!!!!

It's as simple as we all must follow the rules. Read them!

The image must be an unedited screenshot, taken from the 'Customise Car' / 'Select Car' screen in game.

The painting garage is not the Customise Car screen. It's a fact. THIS is the Customise car screen.

If you meant to allow people to take the screens in the garage they wanted, it's OK, but you should have written something like this: "The image must be an unedited screenshot, taken from the 'Menu Screen' / 'Garage' you prefer'. The additional pics may be taken in the city, 'Free Roaming' / 'Race mode you prefer'

It's obvious, nobody likes that crappy dark place, it makes the car look worse, which makes them to get lower ratings. But 85% of us made the screen there because we wanted to follow the rules.

Yes, 85%, I just have made a "review" of all the results of the 4 first days (I dont go on with the following days since it's exhausting) but here are the results. Notice how the ranks of the illegal cars tend to be high:

Day 1:
Entries: 92
Illegal entries: 17 (18.5%)
Ranks of illegal entries: 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15, 18, 20, 26, 33, 34, 34, 50, 53, 65, 85
Day 2:
Entries: 49
Illegal entries: 7 (14.3%)
Ranks of illegal entries: 3, 4, 7, 10, 13, 28, 36
Day 3: (awesome stats)
Entries: 29
Illegal entries: 4 (13.8%)
Ranks of illegal entries: 1, 6, 7, 10
Day 4:
Entries: 42
Illegal entries: 7 (16.7%)
Ranks of illegal entries: 1, 8, 9, 11, 13, 27, 28
Overall conclussions: (till day
Total entries: 402
Total winners: 16
Total illegal winners: 5 (31.25%)

As you can see, the illegal screenshots tend to be ranked better, it's a fact, see the overall ranks of the cheaters.
Another fact: around 15-17% of total screens are unfair, but 31.25% of the winners are illegal. Coincidence? NO. they win because they got an advantage.

After voting loads of cars, the voters just rate the overall look of the screenshot as it comes to their brain; whoever who has rated all the entries know it. If the garage is awesome the rating is automatically increased 2 or 3 points unconsciously.

I know that erasing now all the illegal cars would be a bit problematic since they are a lot but at least think of it during some minutes. Sorry for the awesomely long post. Thanks

In my game, that garage is my select car menu, but apart from that: have you also looked at the cars? Mostly the users that have played this game for a loooong time have changed their main screen and are mostly better in designing. This leaves the "newbs and n00bs" (don't take it wrong) with the crappy cars the comp is filled with. They all, or at least the most of them, have the standard main screen. That might explain it.

BTW: I only look at the design, another garage doesn't make my votes higher. Have you also thought about the way the other screens were taken that can up the score?

Car customize screen was meant as any screen for customizing the car. This was explained before and since this competition is not about presentation, but about the car, it doesn't really matter much on what screen the shot is taken. And besides, you still have 2 additional pictures that you can take in game or anywhere you want.

All the entries in this competition that you mentioned are legal entries.

^Sparco^, with all due respect to you bro... Please stop this. Regardless of the background used in some of the entries I still think that all of the winners from day one up to now all deserves their place.

I understand why you are whining about this... but don't you think that its also unfair to those people who also worked as hard as you did and here you are screaming to the whole site that their entries are illegal.

Its very simple, if Bojan accepted those entries then it means its legit.
