well 8x AGP is faster then 4x
PCI-Express got 16x if im not mistaken.
Awesome screenies guys, still got question tho. If you go progress thru the game and you beat the blacklist racers....you get their cars right? But are those cars take up your career car garage space wich is limited to 10 rides? I mean wont you end up having 9 won cars and one of your own? Or those won cars go to quickrace mode selection once you won them? Also about the cop screen.....do you have to enter the challenge or you can evade cops without having to enter nothing and just cruising around in regular cruise-mode?
Also how do bounty system work?

Oh... Right... SO what happens if it's at 4x? It'd freeze the game? ANd shouldn't it be better to run it at half-speed so to reduce the memory intake of the GFX?GT_Stang wrote:I am not 100% that upping to 8x will fix your problem, but it will be faster. Rightnow you are running the card at half the supported speed. It is an 8x card, thus should be running at 8x
well there are three different cards that you can pick that MIGHT have the member's pink slip. there is 1 for performance 1 for body work and 1 for paint stuff..so there are 5 cards. You can choose 2 cards no matter what they areAbrams wrote:well 8x AGP is faster then 4xPCI-Express got 16x if im not mistaken.

Well, assuming you are running at 4x (software vs actualy bus speed seems to be off sometimes) then there is a possibility is the culprit for your lockups. It could also be a lot of other things, like running out of resources in windows, or anything of the sort. What resolution are you running the game in? What options are set at what? There were 2 versions of the FX5200.. 1 was just over half the speed of the other, while the other was still no match for the DX8 cards at the time. The only advantage the FX5200 had over them was that it supported DX9. I honestly could not see the FX5200 running this game smoothly, not with its lack of processing power.Andre_online wrote: Oh... Which sizes of Rims can you put on the cars
Is it the same as in Underground2 or not ?
I'd love to put 15" or 16" rims on an A3 instead of 18's or 19's.
I'd love to make an Audi A3 or Golf 5 in german style, with small rims.
Hello there. Someone from BelgiumThy_Wraith wrote:does anybody know why they didn't brought out the black edition out on PC in Belgium.
If I order it from America, would run here on my PC, because American Playstation games doesn't work here.
Haven't seen any Belgians in a long time on this Forum

Hey, cool you have a MSI card too. It seems to me that you don't have the latest drivers because when you do, this should show up:Andre_online wrote:OK... I've been having problems with the demo lately, and I'm not satisfied, at all. At any point in time, whether in races or menus, the game just freezes for a few seconds, like 20, and a continuous revving sound can be heard repeatedly, and then goes back to normal again.. This goes on for the next few minutes or so.
Unfortunately, things got worst today when it froze!
This is my PC specs, and I don't see why there's still problems in this game, DESPITE HAVING SET THE LOWEST SETTINGS IN THE GAME:
Has anyone here encountered / have the same problem as me? What's the solution to this?

Notice how it displays PCIE 16x...even though the card is clearly AGP 8x. Also under MSI Clock, do you have the D.O.T. Over Clocking option:

The simplest problem may that your motherboard isn't powerful enough to be able to play at 8x. I remember I had an older motherboard and my FX5600 was running at 4x and clicking on 8x won't solve it because you can't actually change the speed. So your best chance is to either update drivers (use MSI's Live Update) or get a better motherboard.
Interesting...

"Download NFS Most Wanted for Xbox®360™
The playable demo for this next generation console is coming. Get ready to be wanted. Check back next week for details including game modes, cars available and more."
Do you think someone could actually emulate this demo so we can play it on the PC? (Just to check the graphics)

Omg, any motherboard that is capable of handling enough resources for even a GeForce 4 MX series is capable of 8x AGP since theres GeForce4 MX version with AGP x8.
So it had nothing to do with mother-board and its abilities to handle AGP 8x.
Lockups mostly happen when OS overloaded....i.e. too much stuff running on background/in tray, too much stuff starts up with your PC, RAM issues.
Try removing all startup items unless you sure you need some of them, free up some space by deleting explorer cache, and other stuff, try defragmenting your HDD.....small things but usually can help.

How much do you want to bet that motherboards have everything to do with its abilities to handle AGP 8x. Just give me your address and I'll ship you my old motherboard which could only run my FX5600 at 4X, which is now running at 8X because of a new motherboard.Abrams wrote:Omg, any motherboard that is capable of handling enough resources for even a GeForce 4 MX series is capable of 8x AGP since theres GeForce4 MX version with AGP x8.
