I really couldn't care for neons, crappy looking spinners, monitors in the trunk, stupid little decals, etc... What really matters to me in a racing game, or need for speed game for that matter, is the outstanding car design and gameplay. I mean, seriously, why the hell would you put a big ol' nasty wing on a perfectly good Viper? I hardly ever put any body kits or spoilers or roof scoops on my cars because, to be honest with you, they all look stupid. I like that EA didn't allow you to spoil your exotic supercar with pink neons and dorky spinners. Although, with that said, since they did take out all of those customizations, ya'd think that they'd do a good job with what they kept...all I'm saying is that the 1-4 body kits you get on each car usually just make them look like robots and just take away the sweet look that they have. But you could at least have the option to change your exhaust, that was always a given. I do appreciate what EA has done with this game, but there are some minor dissapointments with the cuztomizations. But, not every game can be perfect. And the spoilers and roof scoops all look terrible. All of them are much too big and ricey for me. I think they woulda been better off with letting you choose bumpers and side skirts and take away spoilers and roof scoops.
But for you Underground fans with your Civics loaded with neons and fart cans, Underground 3 is coming for PS3, so your time will come...

This game definitely ain't perfect, I hate how the AI cheats using catchup to rob me out of a win. whoever designed this game is a moron, they allow the AI cars to ram bump and nudge you all they want. You can't return the favor at all, they cant be spun or wrecked. At least with UG2 you could nail the cars if need be. this game definitely needs a patch to fix the problems, no more permanent catchup, no more cheating, AI cars being suspectible to being forced off the road or worse. most wanted is frustrating. better luck next time EA.

I really wonder why you can't side swipe the opponent looks like they run on tracks or something..
you can sideswipe a cop car..
I don't have much problems with Catchup but only with some blacklist caracters like Izzy, she was a pain in the ar*e.
But I really do hope that EA makes a more realistic AI, I don't mind if it is good, and hard to beat, but I hate it when they can make up for lost time when they are half a mile behind and catch up with you doing a better then perfect race to beat you at last few seconds of the race.

Well actually, I didn't find the AI to be hard very often. If I drive well I usually stay really far aheada them the whole race. But I know what yer talkin' about with the "can't spin em' out" thing. I think EA just wanted the cops to be more easy to toy with than the AI. And, there are only 4 of the other AI racers. There are hundreds of cop cars that respawn. So they don't just want you to be able to get rid of the other racers that easy...

I think the reason there isn't that much custimization is that if you havn't noticed theres not that many imports in the game. No offense to anyone but who's gonna go spend a TON of money on a lamborghini or any other exotic to tune it a lot, I like body kits and stuff on my exotic but I don't like to make my Lamborghini look like a Honda Civic wannabe
I'd rather my Honda Civic be a Lamborghini wannabe. Just my opinion.

Most Wanted is a pretty decent game IMO. Its a sure upgrade from UG2 with the removal of some more obsolete and useless options.
Short-comings of the game:
No Nissan. Anyone that knows anything will know the dominance of the GT-R Skyline in World Competition. But obviously the amount of modification the car needs to achieve such feats is something else. The JGTC or as it is now called the Super GT. http://www.supergt.net is where Nismo shines.
Why oh Why do we have the Coupe version of the Dodge Viper SRT-10? The convertible version is much better. The C6 out-performs the Coupe version of the SRT-10 as demonstrated in the Road & Track magazine. But the performance stats of the SRT-10 Convertible are better than the C6. Why did EA pick the Coupe over the Convertible? Simply because its newer is a pretty stupid reason.
I still miss the scenic courses provided in the Original Need For Speed back when EA was EA Canada. Remember the City / Costal and Alpine course? Those were awesome.

The story line for me was a big let down, I they should've left it out completly may be just have Mia as the "mentor" and the characters from the blacklist and thats it. MW doesn't need a backstory its a freakin racing game. If they were gonna use a story line, then they need to spend more time on it. In fact the whole game did feel a little rushed. But I'm still happy with the overall package, the tuning options was missed, but didn't bothered me and at least you weren't forced to tune your car in order to progress through the game.

Apart from the cheating AI (which goes without saying!) the thing I was most disappointed in was the car list. Where's the Corsa gone? We have a Vauxhall Monaro VXR (a car I DO love), but no Astra, VXR or otherwise...
However, since I discovered the Renault Clio V6, I've not needed another car to kick bum in!
I have to admit tho, that this game has really grown on me (apart from the sucky drag races which I can still only win if the AI total themselves...)

They ditched the Corsa couse they came to the right conclusion that is is a ugly and useless piece of metal that Vauxhall/opel call a car.
The Astra VXR is a nice car have to give you that, but the Corsa is a motorised shoppingcart, no more to it. even the SRI (OPC as OPEL version) doesn't have a good amount of power and the looks aren't that pleasing.
If they put the corsa in the game then it would be the slowest starter car... wich isn't promising... the Atra VXR would be a better choice it also has a engine that is near the Golf and the Lexus (have NO idea what engine the Punto has)

Not even a s2000 or Integra!
I'm dissapointed with them not including 350Z
Such a shame, and the customisation is extremely repeditive!
Anyway, customising is NOT RICE!
Rice is putting Ferrari badges on a Datsun or TRD (Toyota) racing stickers on a Honda (These are a few examples) Rice is often seen in real life, like FOAM ROLL CAGES JUST FOR LOOKS (Roll cages damn ugly, but offer great safety and performance gains. Why would anyone make a fake one if it doesn't do anything?) or a "Mazspeed" numberplate on a HOLDEN!

I see lot of people complaining about drag races. Actually they are very easy.
I allways use RX-8 which I pink slipped from blacklist rival and upgraded to the max. Now I have the car whith which I can get 100% perfect shifts.
Considering traffic, did anyone noticed that the traffic alwas have same pattern, so if you restarted the game few times, you could memorize that pattern and be able to choose "perfect race lane" and avoid all the traffic cars with no problem.
About car list, the only thing that I don't like is that there isn't any Ferraris, but if you think better you could get to the idea that they'll probably put the ENZO in the game and left the F50 out, and I really don't like the ENZO so...
About customization, I'm glad that it turned out the way it is. I hated UG and UG2 (especiallly UG2), because I had to make my car actually looks ugly if I wanted to progress in the game.
But what really bothers me is...
When you finish the carreer and the challenge races there isn't mush left except to create a new alias. Why they dropped outruns from the game? I spend lot of time simply driving outruns in UG2 after I finished career. Wouldn't it be great if we could do outruns, and then have to evade the cops too?

EA always rush their games..we all know this since Hot Pursit 2...every year theres a new neefd for speed..and you cannot make a complete game in a year...EA wants money..so they rush their staff, staff get pressured they make mistakes..and so on...so we will never get a full game...look at big games...GT4..and well GT2 to GT3...lots of time spend onto them....look at Final Fantasy series...metal Gear solid...even arcade racing games( in real life) spend longer making their games better then EA...EA by far out of all the big companies I know(yes Im putin EA as BIG company) makes the worst games out of them all...Capcom, KOEI, Codemasters, Rockstar, Square Enix, Eidos, to name a few.....EA is along the top sellers...but why are their games so fcking shiznit?!compare to the other companies...what is wrong with EA....?
edit...i mean for RACING genre only lol.for the companies listed..take out the obvious oens that don't make racing games, but you know what I mean.

*cough*BULLSH*T*Cough*
putting a useless bodykit or a spoiler that only creates drag and no downforce, or a HUGE muffler that sounds like a fartmachine are considered RICE!
and yeah we know there are no Honda's and Nissan's
LIVE WITH THESE FACTS! BLAME HONDA and NISSAN, write them a letter and ask them why... maybe it helps... alteast we don't have to read all those complaints here OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

They can't show the driver's face, which is just childish and stupid in my opinion.Eagle357 wrote:Why do we have the Coupe version of the Dodge Viper SRT-10? The convertible version is much better.
Ugh, I really hated that too. Just about the only good thing about the customization in MW.Jamaleni wrote:About customization, I'm glad that it turned out the way it is. I hated UG and UG2 (especiallly UG2), because I had to make my car actually looks ugly if I wanted to progress in the game.

And yeah, I don't even play it anymore now that I completed the challange series events. All there is left to do is start a new career...which really isn't that fun....
