No such thing, huh?
Guess we'll have to use nuclear power.
You really are a fool.
Traveling cross-state, for example. Say, the aircraft used is a Boeing 757-400. That's 230 people not including crew. Say, you cross 4 states (est. 500 miles). 230 (or even half that number) cars would produce significantly more CO2 than the flight.

Fusion power is in its infancy, with sustanable fusion reactions currently the stuff of science fiction. Hydrogen power IS much more efficiant, but the problem is the production of Heavy Water for hydrogen ions, which is complex.

We have to end this lunacy.

GTAVCBoy90, you can either accept that you're wrong, or leave. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick of reading your crap.

Anything more that you say will only make you look increasingly stupid.

Well, my cousin just told me that the EPA still has tremendous amounts of power in that state, so I guess that theory went up in smoke :( .

I never seen someone so damn sturburn!!

Have you even read what is posted by Bojan, steelsnake00, xHaZxMaTx and alot others told??? I think not.

I forgot how high it was exactly but Bojan now told what the polutions specs of the US are.
Wich is a fact that I read it in several places.

25%!!!!

That is a bloody lot in case you did not know.

Sadly the US goverment isn't doing anything about it!

Ofcourse Planes Polute but you have to calculate how many people use 1 flight like Steelsnake said. you can't compare 1 car with 1 plane.
And Kerosine is higher grade fuel wich burns better and thus leaves less toxic vapors then for instance petrol or diesel per gallon.

That doesn't mean that a plane is using clean power, they still polute. but for now we don't have a better solution for long distance travel.
But luckely some cities are looking into medium range alternatives for the airplane.
Like high speed electric trains.

In europe we have alot of high speed train lines connecting the big cities. and in alot of cases they are a lot faster then the plane (complete travel time that is!)

@TheStig: Pollution from other sources must have gone down a whole lot, I guess.

@SteelSnake00: That was actually kinda funny.

take all emissions off cars !!!!!!!!! do what i do and straight pipe EVERYTHING muhahahahaha
im not joking every vehicle at my house is staright piped (except my moms car)
btw the diesel restrictions are getting way out of hand the new diesel pickups are WAY cleaner now that they have the low sulfur stuff, they are way cleaner than ALOT of gas cars. i did some research for college and i found out the 7.3L diesel found in ford pickups is cleaner than the v6 ford explorers. so i think they need to lighten up on the diesel restrictions and get tougher on the gas guzzlers. IMHO
