You're not talking about this, are you? It's not a concept, I saw one on the street the other day. Anyway, I think it looks pretty nifty.

It is just a lancer the evo X is based on that model and it have different bumpers and engine
The car is good but i don't believe that is the right replace for the lancer
Another bad new is that the old good 4G93 is replaced by a new engine so yes the evo got destroyed

That is the Mitsubishi Lancer GTS, which is the base model Lancer. Evo X is the top model.

i know that!

this topic is like eternally confused now because someone said the mitsubishi evo x was out and someone said no it isn't then someone said something about the normal lancer and i said yes i saw one then someone said no they arent out yet and then someone agreed w/ me and bah.......

forget it. teh simplest way to put it is

the lancer gts is out
the evolution X is not out yet.

I was just clearing things up for the people that said the Evo X was out. For those who are wondering, the Evolution X as it's known in Japan is going to be released in Japan later in 2007 (I'm pretty sure it's September-November), and everywhere else early next year.

Just to put it out there, the Evolution was destroyed when the Evo VII came out.

Then you, my friend, have no taste. The greatest one so far would have to be VIII or IX. But hey, that's personal opinion

LanEvoIII is right, for the most part. Recent Evos are just driven by computers and it takes away the need for driver skill. As Jeremy Clarkson once demonstrated on Top Gear, you can drift an Evo VIII with one finger on the wheel - the car does all the driving for you.

The two best Evolutions so far, the Evolution III and the Evolution VI. I base this on simulators. One from a car show last year that I went to. I got to 'drive' a simulated Evolution III, with a steering wheel, 6 speed manual. It was awesome to try and drift in, because it required skill. And the Evolution VI from Forza 2 Racing simulation style - Damage, tyre and fule wear etc. No ABS no STM no TCS. It was hard as to drift in, without sliding it out of control. The Evo VII, VIII and IX were far to easy to drive, I didnt like them one bit.

Enough said. I've never driven an Evo III but the VI was obscenely raw and really quite understeer-y. The Evo IX is the best of the evo's I've actually driven (in 360 guise) and is an absolute maniac, but not a car you could put up with on a daily basis. The Evo III is supposed to be even more obscene and brash than the VI.

For the record, I've never been much of a fan of the Evo series. Like Imprezas, I think the image they put out is something between "mid-life-crisis-but-cant-afford-a-porsche" and "aging-boy-racer-or-obscenely-rich-kid". Granted they're great fun around a track but I'd never buy one. Not when you could build a Sport Quattro replica with 400+bhp for the cost of a new one...AND have enough change to buy an E36 328i or M3 as a daily driver...

To base your opinion on real life cars with simulators is an utter joke..

Speaking of which, that's the all around opinion of Caymans, except replace "porsche" with "911" :)

Man this new Supra SR concept is UGLY. Some parts of it are nice, but a lot of the design concepts in it make it well just plain ugly.

I like the whole futuristic look but at least they can make it look a little better. :(

Same with some of their other concepts.

This one I like. Looks much better than the Yaris.

The Auris is not a concept, neighter is it a replacement for the Yaris.
It's a replacement for the Corolla Hatchback. and it is already out since early this year.
But because the Corolla Hatchack was never sold in the US the auris will not apear there eighter.
The Corolla is still build as a new model sedan and is still named Corolla in europe, only the 3 and 5 door hatchback is replaced by the Auris.

The Auris was desinged specificly for the European market, but also availeble in Japan and if not mistaken it's also for sale in Australia but then under the Corolla name(Correct me if I'm wrong)

But the picture you posted is also a concept, the actual model is slightly diffirent (as all concept vs production models are)

And about the Supra Concept, it's exactly that a prototype/concept nothing more then computer based ideas.
