Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Maybe a Need for Speed Pro Street FAQ can be made and updated when there is new info.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
The wiki is already being updated, and unless I'm mistaken, contains a NFS:PS FAQ.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Yep, you can read the FAQs here http://wiki.nfsunlimited.net/wiki/Need_ ... Street_FAQ .

To bad, then the game will be to arcadish for me and i stick to TDU and TDU2 i think.prince1142003 wrote:Sorry Ceano, no Free Roam, and no cops. Just pure racing (hey, one can hope, right?)

What does "arcadish" mean for you? The term arcade implies: unrealistic, easy, ridiculous.
No free roaming --> This reduces the arcade. Open, racing cities are everything except realistic. In fact racing and real streets are kind of incompatible. But separate, racing, believable tracks can be made easily. look at nfsu2 nfsmw or nfsc cities. Are them realistic? lolololololol... NO. its like a mix of curved long and wide huge avenues. You can race at 250kph. For several minutes. At every street. In a city. Oh yeah, a real life simulator!!!
No cops --> Traditionally cops are an arcade element. They are funny, but unrealistic. So this is another arcade part removed
How is this too arcadish?
Hot Pursuit is back =)
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
He obviously hasn't read any newest information...
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
OK i think you know what i mean but when it doesn't look so in your replies i will try top explain for you. I want my games to be as realistic as posible...so just magically appear at a race with out driving there first or similar is not realistic, traffic, cops, free roam is 100% more realistic then just click on a location on a map or name list to just appear at the race...or you guys maybe has such a button in your real life cars to

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
anyone mentioned that the front and rear rims of the Mazda are different???!!!
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
O rly??? O_o
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
waaay ahead
.. i asked the same quest, and I got the answer: "it's quite common for drift cars to have different types of rims" ... and I did some research on it, they use 2 types, usually the back rims are a smaller inch diameter, because they can use bigger tires, saving some money, because they are cheaper that a small talon tire. I guess this is one reason why they use different rim styles and size.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Gran Turismo doesn't have cops and free roam and it's not arcade and I am telling you, it's pretty damn realistic! And you won't be clicking through menus. In ProStreet, you travel (presumably by plane to different locations around the world, I doubt EA can do free roam to the whole world), then you're shown to the event screen, which is like the central location for the event. From there you select different races. You should watch the newest videos from GameTrailers. It shows you exactly how it's going to be. And actually, I like to think you have more freedom in this game because you can go off-road and crash in the canyon.Ceano wrote:OK i think you know what i mean but when it doesn't look so in your replies i will try top explain for you. Anyone else notice that there is a "3" next to the end of the Nitrous meter in the gauges?

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
I really doubt EA's that realistic. EA is known to cut corners. I agree with prince, it may be just the gear number.taz947 wrote:i think that means that he has 3 bottles of NOS.
Has anyone noticed the much more realistic start to races? Now, the racers at the front actually start the race earlier. If anyone watches any sporting event, specifically Formula 1, you will notice the front racers always get a head start while the racers at the back must wait until the racers in front of them has moved...I think that's a pretty cool start EA implemented.
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
The gear number is the "1"... i dont think its in 3rd gear on 28 km/h

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
This goes out on a limb, but could it be the amount of crashes you have before you total? I'm sure it's not that... but I just decided to put it out there.gearhead450 wrote:He's right.Strafer wrote:The gear number is the "1"... i don't think its in 3rd gear on 28 km/hThe gears are displayed to the left of the speedometer, so maybe we get to use more than one nitrous bottle during a race because refillable NOS is no longer an option.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
possible 3 full shots of nitrous ... does anyone watched the trailers again, I remember that in one of them the player actually NOS the car few times, probably the bottle emptied and the number decreased?

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
IGN's prostreet hands-on. sort of sucks how ea won't give us anything new.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
It's quiet weird that EA hasn't release the official website for NFSPS yet ...
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
The official site has been somewhat updated:
First of all, the front video has been changed to that of the NIssan (Skyline) GT-R Proto: http://www.needforspeed.com.
Also there are the following updates:
19.07.07: Customize your online identity with these gamer pictures featuring the girls of Need for Speed ProStreet.
http://www.ea.com/nfs/prostreet/news.js ... &locale=us
18.07.07: Mike Henderson is in the Need for Speed Driver's Seat
http://www.ea.com/nfs/prostreet/news.js ... &locale=us
Pretty lame...I know...

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
everything is lame that is released from ea. for some reason im less and less hyped about the game as it comes closer to the release because of the lack of videos, new cars in screenshots, and information.
