question
BHP stands for Brake Horse Power. AFAIK, this is the power of the car measured at the wheels - ie the power that the car can put onto the road. Horsepower (HP) can be measured at several places right down the drivetrain, but of course power is lost along the way as the energy is used to move the various drivetrain parts. Thus, BHP is a good measurement of the real power output of the entire car.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
