hmmm, lets get this thread back to life after a long while :P

1st: Playstation portable's GTA news:
Firstly, Grand Theft Auto on PlayStation Portable. Online retailer EBGames has been advertising a date of May 15, 2005 on their website. Unfortunately, several sources within the games media have seen this as 'inside information' leading them to believe that a date has been confimed to the retailer by Rockstar. Further confusion arose when a few Grand Theft Auto fansites posted that Gamespot.com were showing the same date on their gamespace. Well, the bad news is that Gamespot and EBGames' databases are linked, whatever date EBGames posts will appear on the Gamespot website, and whatever screenshots Gamespot post will appear on the EBGames website. Also, it should be taken into account that it is not unknown for retailers to place incredibly speculative dates online in order to receive media coverage and thus, boost preorder numbers and sales.

We may, however, find out details of the PSP Grand Theft Auto later this week when Take 2 Games report their First Quarter Fiscal 2005 results on Thursday. These press statements are mainly aimed at investors, but often contain details on forthcoming games. The last time Take 2 reported, we received release dates for the Xbox and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, so keep your eyes peeled on GTAGaming for all the latest news this Thursday.
2nd: San Andreas PC news
Keeping with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, top games magazine PC Gamer claim to have a 'first look' feature on the game in their next issue, which hits stores on May 5th.We'll bring any information about the game as soon as it's available
so be ready for a first look on the PC version and improvements made as well as lots of news soon 8)

credits goes to GTAGaming as they posted the whole news

My bad  , it was confirmed by PC Gamer itself that it will be in the next issue (April) :D , here is the confirmation :
About a month from now, PC Gamer will put out a new issue with the first details on San Andreas for the PC. Here is the e-mail I got:
"I recently got my new copy of PC Gamer magazine in the mail and they mentioned at the back that next month's issue will have exclusive details and more regarding Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PC."

- John Glass (aka. Batmanvscrane)

They did the same for Vice City's PC version, and I have the full scoop on what that had here. With PC Gamer getting the exclusive, the only thing I expect to hear by Thursday is a GTA PSP release date. It would be very unlike Take-Two to not announce anything new GTA-wise when they do their quarterly results report then.

You are used to play GTA on pc. That's why you think it's hard on PS2 because controls are different. I can play on bought with no problem. Because from the GTA3 i played the gta games on PS2 instead of PC

i think that GTA SA will be far superior in many aspects for PC. first of all the graphics. the graphics for GTA VC on PS2 were ok, but on PC they looked like the pictures in the booklet, the scenery was beatiful. not only that you can customize practicaly anything. you can alter the islands, the cars, the speed, anything practiaclly. i might buy GTA san andreas for PC once its down to like 20

PS2 controls are harder for me than PC, but I still think GTA is way better on PC than on PS2. Why? The graphics are a lot better, you can modify the game (a lot), you can add your own music, you can watch TV while you play (unless you use the PC as TV, like I do...) and aiming is a lot easier...

If you'd searched a little in this topic, you would have found the answer... Which is June 7th for North America, June 10th for Europe. I'm not sure about the date for Asia and Oceania, but I guess it would be around the date for Europe...

San Andreas (PC) System Requirements 8) :
source: Take2.co.za

Minimum:

Operating System: Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
Processor: Pentium PIII 800 MHz Processor or AMD Athlon
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForceâ„¢ or ATI Radeonâ„¢ 7000 or higher
CD-ROM: 4X or Faster
RAM: 256 MB RAM

Recommended:

Operating System: Windows XP
Processor: CPU Pentium 4 2.4GHz or Athlon 2200
Video Card: Geforce FX 5700 or Radeon 9600 or higher
