Post by Ceano »

I did get my Logitech G25 Racing Wheel today and i thought that my Logitech MOMO Wheel was good but the G25 is just awesome. Now i also can bind all features like screen shots, map, sms and so on to the wheel buttons 8)

It's $250 Canadian.

Holy crap a clutch pedal and a 6 speed shifter. If I ever spend a crap load of money on a steering wheel, that is the one. It has EVERYTHING I've ever wanted in a wheel. A CLUTCH PEDAL!!11

ive always wanted a clutch pedal, it would be cool if you could kill the cars by letting off the clutch too fast or drop the clutch and let the tires melt

If you would've opened your eyes just a tiny bit more, you would've seen that it's a different currency.

I heard the shifter wasn't all too realistic, but adding a clutch pedal is great use for games like GTR2. :)

Answer to all above.

I did pay 2394.00 in Swedish, that is about 333.31 US dollars.
The wheel, shifter, clutch, break and gas pedal feels as close as you can get to a real car.

so you mean you cant just push in the clutch and then let it go right away after selecting gears you kinda have to feather it through the first 2-3 gears ?

Wouldn't that kind of realism be up to the software you're using it with?

I bet this wheel would work awesomely on Racer.

well the driving force pro wheel is absolutely awesome so there's no reason why the g25 wouldnt be some serious kit =) too bad the dfp only has 200 degree compatability on pc even after installing the logitech gaming software (wingman).

there have been some clutch pedals around for some time particularly if you've been in the know with professional sim racing leagues etc and some really good pedals with clutch (apparently) have had pricetags that are quite high so even though the g25 does cost quite a bit (66% more than the dfp on release o.O) it does actually have some good features and build quality to match it so... its not a bargain but well worth it imo. alot better than getting any cheap wheel that feels crap.

the stick shifter is also quite interesting with being able to use it as a sequential like on the dfp but it can also be used as a 6 speed shifter as well which is sweet. none of that face plate nonsense like on the earlier 6 speed shifter modules. if i didnt already have my dfp, id probably really want a g25 but as it is i dont use it much at all haha.

Just out of curiousity, if it's a gated 6 speed, how do you shift to the 7th gear of the CLK?

You don't.

But the CLK uses a sequential gearbox anyway, so you might as well put it in sequential mode.

The Logitech G25 wheel offers advanced features which, until now, could be found only in specialized or custom-made racing simulators that sometimes cost thousands of dollars to assemble. These features include a six-speed gated shifter and clutch pedal; two high-torque force-feedback motors; an 11-inch wheel; and a full 900 degrees of rotation.
