Ok, here are my first impressions on the game. I'll start with what is wrong IMO:
1st, WHERE ARE THE RACE REPLAY OPTIONS ???? I can't belive EA removed that, but if I am blind and don't find the button, please help !
2nd, it seems to me that EA messed again with the capabilities of the cars.I'm now @ BL member nr. 9, I race Eclipse and bought a Porshe Cayman S. I can't belive that the Ecipse + 3 uniques has better "Top Speed/Acceleration/Handling" vs. the Porsche (same level of regular performance upgrades).
3rd, I am quite frustrated because of the way the game behaves with my wheel (Logitech Formula Force GP). When setting the camera to "Far", the game control becomes a nightmare, any slight move from the wheel turns the car almost completly. The only way I can play the game is with the camera on "hood" mode, and thus running a Renault or a Lamborgini doesn't make any difference visually speaking

4th the AI is completely idiot. The AI cars are sometimes running with lightspeed no matter what cars they're racing, some other times are breaking without any apparent reason. I belive the game tries to reach a balance and keep your adrenaline high during the races, so no matter what you are doing the cars are still @ 2 - 3 seconds behind you (or worst, in front). Or maybe it's just my lousy driving

.
OTOH, I belive the graphics are a little bit "monochome". It happened to me more than once when I was searhing for the "arrows" that indicate the right track (they are now yellow, which blends very well with the environment). And everything has a beige/yellow color arround you. Which means if you don't know the track you're racing you might find yourself entering a hairpin with 180 mph. And still no option for 5.1/7.1 sound
And on the good side: Graphics (apart from coloring): great resolution, great details, good "reality" feeling. I play the game in 1280x960 full details and it really rocks.
The cars sound awesome. And the "storyline" is ok. You don't have to run in 30+ races to advance one level.
Certainly an improvement on car handling. They are more "stable" without forcing you to spend 2+ hours in the tuning area.
